LEVEL ONE INTRODUCTION

Level 1 is for those who are new to the concept of who and what an Indigo person is. In this level you will find basic information on quite a lot of subjects, but I implore you to take time to read everything, because it will not be as basic as you think. And when you think you understand it all, then read it again.

Before I get too carried away, there are also many articles and web sites who purport that the Indigo happening is nothing more than a new name for the same old learning challenged, dysfunctional children/adults of the past and present. Let me help clarify something right now. There wouldn't be learning challenged people if it wasn't for parents and/or teachers who are so stuck in dogma that they couldn't see an enlightened soul or a potentially enlightened soul if it knocked them on the head. This goes for Indigos as well as any other who feels they have something important to contribute to humanity and life. It's just that as the media expansion continues so does coverage of what's going on. There aren't really any more Indigos here now as there were eons ago, it's just that we are hearing about it more and technology is providing us with the ability to come together in ways that we never had before. Then add that to the ever increasing population around the world.

The name "Indigo, or Indigo Child, or Indigo Adult" actually refers to the soul colour, Indigo, of a particular person. This is not the colour of the aura, but the soul colour. All of us have a particular soul colour which identifies who and what we are in our current incarnation, such as the Indigo whose colour identifies us as Master Souls who have incarnated on Earth to be a healer or a teacher. It is also believed that an Indigo will accomplish their purpose or missions one way or the other, even if by simply being who they are. (Read The Indigo's Purpose/Mission). Indigos have always been here to help humanity, and they will continue, so please, do not think this is a New Age theory or concept.

Also, you will find many web sites who purport that Indigos are relatively new here, but I contend that they have been here since the dawn of time just like everyone else. There has always been people involved in helping humanity and there always will be, especially in the upcoming shift in human consciousness, which is another one of those happenings that some people believe is new. Life is all about evolution, period. It evolves or it passes away.

By now I hope you realize that I am saying that Indigos are as important as anyone else, the blues, the greens, the yellows reds and golds, and whatever other colors you can possibly imagine. I'm an Indigo and therefore know more about myself as an Indigo than anyone else. If I have time and come across information about other soul developments I will add them to this site because we are all so very important in each and every way.

I bet, if after familiarizing yourself with the information in this site, that you will be able to recognize an Indigo, and perhaps the ones in your own families. For example, my grandmother Chai Lena (pronounced Ky) was born in 1890, and she was a true Indigo. When her sweetheart, Jim died, I asked why they lived together for 38 years and never married. She told me, "Because I swore that after my first husband passed away that no man would ever control me again!" That was back in 1972. In 1986, she was 96 years old when her warrior spirit finally decided that she didn't want to outlive her children (her words, not mine).

Grandma Chai was indeed a warrior and a system buster. She was the epitome of an Indigo. She could see right through a lie, could sense danger, could do whatever she had to do to survive and keep her children alive, and back in her day that was no easy task. I will no doubt talk more about Grandma Chai in the many things I have to say and explain about Indigos, so stay tuned. She was one of the most remarkable women I've ever had the blessing of knowing.

Now then, to get down to brass tacks (or is that Indigo tacks?) I'm going to address how to recognize an Indigo, be it child or adult, their system busting or warrior natures, how it affects them as well as those around them, and much, much, much more. What's especially important is that you learn to recognize an Indigo child because they need an incredulous amount of guidance and understanding. All children do, but the new Indigo children are being labeled as ADHD et al, and drugged out of their minds,ugh, I mean their souls! And it will destroy them. I will also provide coping skills and even other web sites who can give more guidance to you, and even offer guidance to those non-Indigos who have Indigos as friends or family.

Lastly, no, Indigos are not aliens, ET's or crazy people. They are, plain and simply, people who know that there is more to life and they have known it since childhood, and are driven to do something to bring that 'moreness' into their present reality. Finding out what that 'something' is is the easy part; understanding 'self' isn't as easy. It's a wonderful thing to have a deeper understanding of life, much more so than others, but it can also be confusing, upsetting, disturbing, disorienting, isolating, you name it.

Please enjoy this site, because we have created it for you, and see if you can or will gain a sense of peace and calm by knowing that there are many out there like you . . . like me, like your children who are dying to share their stories and become part of the bigger ‘whole' and not as isolated and alone in their mental, emotional, and spiritual wanderings as they have always felt they were.

Probably one of the most important things I should stress is that being an Indigo is not a craze. If you are not a true Indigo, you will do yourself a horrible disservice by trying to be. You need to, we all need to find our own truths and not be afraid of being who we are. When I say a horrible disservice, I mean it too. You will waste time trying to fit into something that isn't meant for you. Not only time, but you will cause yourself even more emotional and spiritual problems by not being true to yourself and your real nature.

It has been drummed into my head all my life that the key to maturing is to LEARN, PRACTICE AND APPLY. This site is no different. It is being offered to you absolutely free, so you can derive from it what is right for you, using discernment of course, but it isn't good enough to scan through material. If it is right for you then you must learn it, then practice what you are learning in an everyday environment, and then of course, the biggie, you must begin applying everything that you have learned and practiced.

If you skip around with information that is so serious and enlightening, only you will suffer. Actually, I would like to add, so will many others, because your purpose or mission is for the 'others' and if you fail yourself, you fail them.
